Slow down - a bit of lag

Anyone notice their X slow down in the last couple of weeks? This thing was blazing, then I got lollipop and it was even better. But after a week or two with lolli It began slowing, now when I exit apps or the app drawer it'll take a long time for widgets and screens to appear. I know, I should just do a reset. But those are a pain in the arse, and I just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this issue lately.

Before a factory reset try to wipe the cache partition. No data will be lost and it's a good thing to do after a system update.

I've not experienced any lag on my moto x with lollipop. I have encryption enabled and it takes a bit longer to boot because of it, but while using the device everything runs butter smooth.

As the previous poster said, I would recommend clearing the cache. Make sure you do it through the recovery and not the settings menu. The recovery method actually wipes the system cache. The method in the settings menu is just cache created by apps installed on the device. If clearing the cache doesn't solve the problem then you will need to do a factory reset unfortunately.
