slow fingerprint sensor with video

Hey guys,

It send every since I got 8.1 my fingerprint sensor has been slow. I just did a complete factory reset and I still think it's kinda slow. Is this normal?

I am on P. Mine is a little quicker, but not sure why yours has that lag. Still seems faster than some other phones though. Sorry. Can't help you more.

That delay isn't bad but mine is instantaneous.

It's normal by my 2 XL on P DP2, looks like exactly the same 2-second "lag." Doesn't bother me, tho.

I don't think it's so much the speed of the reader I think it's that the development tool has been set back by .5 *in to go to development tools and raise your animations for animations 1. * it will increase the speed that it reads each fingerprint sensor thus going to your screen quicker but that's just a trick I used it worked on mine

That is not a 2 second delay.

try using the scanner to wake your phone with the always on display turned ON.

I have lag when it's turned OFF, but the phone wakes up instantly when it's turned ON.

I've noticed this since I swapped over to the P beta and mentioned it in the beta thread.

One prima facie evidence, I think you both have a point. In either case, with AOD on OR with the 3 animation settings at .5x, the responsiveness of the fps on my phone seems to change slightly. Instead of a not-a-2-second delay, it's much more clearly a not-a-1-second delay. But there's no additional speed bump if both AOD is on and the animation speeds are tweeked.

Because of this issue I have switched to my Oneplus 5t phone unless I am taking photos. I did notice that the response of the actual read of the fp is a second slow before you feel the vibration
