Slow / laggy Samsung tab 3

Got a second hand tab 3 a few months back for our son to use to watch you tube kids. All worked fine for a while, but has now become very slow, and you tube vids are lagging. I've uninstalled and reinstalled YouTube kids, factory reset the tab, and unticked the battery saver thingy bobs lol, but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?

Your connection speed to YouTube? (Speeds are between 2 points, not an absolute measurement. If your speed to the YouTube server you're using slows down, so does the apparent speed of the tab (or phone or PC, etc.)

Since YouTube is hosted by Google, and Google was experiencing problems (some people were asked to verify their email passwords, but the server was too slow to verify the password), YouTube may have been affected as well.
