Slow screen display from unlock

Does anyone have this issue with the note 2 from att? I hit the unlock button amd theres about a two second delay until the screen turns on. And theres a second delay from the swipe unlock to showing the home screen.

I went to the AT&T store and the phone there acted the same way. I figure it would have acted like my gs3.

Fast as butter for me, but I also went into Developer settings and turned off most the animation, while it's "pretty" with it off, it's snappy

Ive tried that it made things a little snappier but still not anywhere close to my gs3.
