Slow Wifi on T-Mobile HTC One

My wife just got the HTC One and I've been playing around with it. We had a family trip to a cabin where we weren't getting very strong cell reception, but it had wifi so I wasn't too worried about testing out the new phone. We got up there and started showing it off to my family and comparing it to my dad's LG Optimus G on Sprint. I had forgotten how good the Optimus G was, it my limited testing it was performing better than the One was. Apps were launching faster, it felt smoother to move around in the OS. I was impressed and have no idea why the Optimus G isn't one of the best selling smart phones.

Anyway, while I was doing some testing, I wanted to load up a music video to show my brother. So I launched youtube on the One and did a search for the song. it took several seconds, about 5+, to complete the search and then launching the video it struggled a lot. Was constantly stopping to buffer and couldn't load the video completely. My first thought was it was because the wifi was slow, but then I decided to use the Optimus G and load the same video. It took less time to complete the search, and was able to stream the video seamlessly. I again tried it with my tablet to see if any problems were there. None, then tried my phone, a lumia 710, again no problems streaming. So it seems to me that there is something wrong with the wifi on the HTC One and wondered if anyone else had noticed this problem?

Im with sprint, but I ve experiencedthr same thing, not only that, if I'm not in 4G network it's slow. I was searching w my friend who has an iPhone 4.with sprint too , WE WERE BOTH USJBG 3G AND HER BRIESER WAS FASTER !!! WTH!!!
