Hey folks,
long time BB user just converted to Android! Had my DroidX since the 16th and love it so far! One issue though - I am using Swype and love it, however I have a few apps that require passwords. One I use is Splash ID (which I have used for years on several different platforms).
When I open the app and enter the password using swype - I just realized that the word prediction (after the initial use of swype for Splash ID) displays my password after a few key presses which could potentially be an issue.
I know - I can turn off word prediction but I find the word prediction very useful and would rather not have it off - especially for sms/mms.
Is there a way to exclude the password as a predicted word so that in the unlikely event someone obtains my phone (and doesnt get immediately beat down for it!) they wont be able to randomly get my password with random guesses?
I know the chance is unlikely they would figure out which predicted word is the password, but I also dont want anyone to be able glance over my shoulder and glimpse the predicted password or to simply catch the first keypress which may facillitate guessing which predicted word it is.
Thanks!
