Hi all, first time posting here!
I'm in the market for a new phone as Google seem determined to kill custom ROMS, which have been keeping my Xiaomi Note 10 Pro relevant long after its sell-by date.
I've loved the Note 10 Pro and have found it a really great handset for the money, but one of my biggest gripes throughout has been the awkward size of the screen (6.7"). It often requires me to drop the phone in my grasp just to tap things at the top of the screen or swipe from the notification tray.
That said, I'm looking for a smaller handset which doesn't need such hand gymnastics to function. One feature of the Xiaomi I'm keen to hold onto is the headphone jack which I realise puts me in a very small niche. I've been looking closely at the ASUS Zenfone 10 because of this, and was hoping people could advise me on whether it's still a viable handset in 2025 given ASUS's terrible update support.
Its currently going for £579 on their site and I'm tempted, despite that being close to double what I've ever spent on a phone, just because it seems to align with what I want philosophically.
Hoping people can steer me in the right direction.
