Smart Alert for missed text messages

When I first started with Samsung phones, I got the S3 and one feature I absolutely loved was smart alert. I loved being able to pick up the phone and have it vibrate from missed calls and texts. I noticed that this feature only worked with missed calls on my S5, and only every so often. With my Note 5 that I have now, it seems to be the same issue. Does anyone's smart alert work flawlessly, for every missed call AND text, or is this a common problem?

Yes the setting is on. It only works for missed calls though, not texts. Which I remember being the case on my s5 as well.

Thank goodness someone else has this problem too! I don't understand what it is, I know that my accelerometer sensor is working, I even calibrated it with an app and I remember doing the same for my S5. Made no difference..

Mine did work. As a matter of fact I turned it off just a few days ago. The notification light told me I had 'missed' items, so the vibrate was rather pointless.

It's very frustrating. I remember going above and beyond to try and get it to work on my S5 and now here I am with the same issue, can't I just have a phone that it works on? Lol
