It sounds like SmartConnect is customizable. The brief I just read says that Smart connect will open apps when headphones are plugged in or change sound profiles based on time and charging status... Because it keeps popping up on you causes me to ask if you have customized it and if this is it's way of getting you customize it. I'm sure there is an option for "no action" if that is what you choose but perhaps by not electing anything this is it's way of prompting you to make an allocation. My first thought was that your connection to the headphones is bad... well not bad exactly but like it sees the headphones then doesn't for an instant and then does again, causing the smartconnect to think it's a new connection, making it come on again. I suppose this could still be the case, because I'm assuming that the plug/jack is different than a standard plug/jack??? Maybe a little longer or an extra division, that gives it its functionality and it's that portion that is connecting and disconnecting. The reason I kind of dismissed this initially was because you didn't complain about interruption to your listening. You didn't mention that music skipped, songs stopped playing whenever whatever popped up, or anything like that. But hey for S and G blow out your headphone jack or carefully clean it out. Look for directions online before shoving a cotton swab down there and damaging something.
