Smart dock not working with kit kat?!

My phone was connecting fine to the dock before the update, now not at all. Anyone else experience this?

It's my understanding that the update busted the use of many third party apps, which Samsung first denied, then admitted they did. They said they were going to fix it in a future update, but I have no idea if they've done so yet.
