Hello when I go to smart Lock I enter my pin just a white screen pops up. Any thoughts on how to fix it.

This is a known Noughat issue. You can temporarily fix it by turning off Trust Agents and then rebooting.

Settings/Security. Near bottom is Advanced, Trust Agents.

I had the same issue when I set up my Essential. I got tired of fixing it and am patiently waiting for Oreo in the hope that it will fix it permanently.
