Smart Stay: Did you turn it on, and why or why not?

a better alternative is screebl app.. it relies on the accelerometer\gyroscope.. It's pretty reliable!

Off.

Previous Galaxies I've owned never seemed to work. I also turn off other features like Palm Swipe, Direct Call, Mute, etc.

The ambient lighting has to be "just" right for Smart Stay to work. I haven't tried it with my new S7. I've had it for over 2 years with my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and it was constantly telling me it couldn't detect my eyes (unless I was in a bright room).

On my Galaxy S3, smart stay worked most of the time. On the S7 Edge, it never works, no matter what the lighting conditions. Same house, same lighting conditions.
