Be careful when using smart switch tomorrow! I figured out what caused me to lose coloring app the hard way. When I used it, it transferred Penup from my note 5 to my note 8. While checking out all of the new features I noticed I had 2 Penups. So not thinking about it I deleted one. The wrong one!. The Penup that comes on the note 8 has coloring inside it as a feature. The note 5 does not. Once you delete the new Penup it is impossible to download it again with the coloring app in it. Just delete any apps on your old device before using switch. Verizon replaced mine with another new one and this time I didn't transfer any apps. Took a while to do but didn't want to take the chance. Hope this helps someone from screwing up like I did! By the way... This phone, computer, camera is awesome!!

I think a fresh clean setup from scratch will work best for most people, back up things yourself and ad them bit by bit as you do your setup, bit time consuming intially but probably a better learning experience and less frustrating in the long run plus you can do a good clean up while you're at it.

Smart switch from iOS worked flawlessly for me .

I am sorry you had the problem with the penup app. Good tip!

I didn't have Penup in my Note 5, so it worked fine. I didn't even know it was available on the Note 5. I guess I missed that thread.

If someone else does, I wonder if there's a different version or way to tell. Or delete it on the previous phone before switching.

Good warning though.

The newest version with the coloring app is available from the Galaxy app store. If you have the Google Play version, just remove it and install from the Galaxy app store. I did this last night and it worked fine.

Would a factory reset put it back?
