"Smart" Switch not working between S7 Edge and Note 7

It's just stuck on "Preparing"... I'm going to have to unplug the Note 7 from the S7 Edge because the battery is getting low waiting for it to start transferring. Hopefully that doesn't screw anything up. I'd tap the "cancel" button but it's greyed out. Seemed to have simpler experiences restoring on Lumia devices.

How much are you moving over and how long did you wait....My 33 gig switch from my Note 5 was stuck at preparing 97% for a while before it continued...

Thanks for the response. I'll try to just restart the process. I'm transferring only about 7 to 9 gigs. Almost everything was on my SD card.

Had the same issue trying to use the stupid cable/dongle. I went with the wireless option instead and it worked much better.

Yeah i used wifi direct and not the cable....
