Smart Switch not working S4 - Trying to make back up of my S4 and restore some of the files on S7

Hi !
I have been trying to make a back up of my S4 using smart switch and it keeps bugging at 16% while backing up my call logs.

I have used smart switch with my S7, and other phones without any problems. Do you have experienced problems with backing up files on a S4 ?

What other software could I use to back up my files on my S4 and retreive them on my S7 ?

Also, if any one knows in which files are the phone logs are stored on a S4 ?, that would help me a lot, since my S4 backup is not working and I want to transfer some files from my S4 to my new S7.

Thanks for moving my post, I think it will be better here indeed ! I also have an issue with finding replacement parts for my S4 screen and digitizer, hopie I chose the right forum section

I finally got answers back in January, after having spend 2 days trying to restore my backups from S4 to an S7 and S3 to an S7 !

Before I was able to find a solution, they were passing the puck between Samsung and Virgin Mobile support team (all my phones are on warranties and/or extended warranties, both for technical support and hardware problems).....grrrrrr.

I finally got an excellent tech guy from Samsung that helped me solved the problems. Basically I had to install a "fix" from them on the S3, it was a problem they had identified in the past, so I was able to use KEYS after that.

And had to use my computer back up for the S4-S7 data transfer since KEYS or Smart Switch didn't support transfert between those 2 models, especially after my cat broke my S4 screen and black ink was spilling all over the screen !

I have to say that I presently feel like I have been overwhelmed with either "technical" problems or hardware failure for all my Samsung phones !!!
I love their features....that's why I keep buying them, but hey ! what a pain in the a.....when things are not working at it should !

Now I am waiting for my S7 to be fixed since the ON/OFF button stopped working after 3 weeks of usage.
And my other S7 (used by my daugther) - well we can't get passed the patter security issue

Soooo, wish me good luck and hope to find answers either from you guys and girls or by other means and pure determination

Hope to be able to come back and post that we found great solutions and maybe help other people here also.
