Smart switch

I got a s7 edge today coming from a s5. I used smart switch and everything transferred EXCEPT my text messages. I tried it several times. Any ideas why?

Unsure..if you clicked on messages during the smart switch setup it should copy over. You can back up messages to gcloud backup on s5, then use that app on the new edge and restore messages that way.

Thanks amy, I have tried smart switch several times with only check messages and nothing. It worked perfectly fine for my husband though. Is there any other thing to try, I do not like to store things on the cloud.
