Ok, so HTC's advice on battery saving is to use Smart Sync for email. I was suffering from ridiculous battery drain so, have made a few tweaks to improve this, but battery life is still not as i want it to be.
Currently my email sync is set to PUSH, and i am wondering if you use SMART SYNC does this affect your email delivery, and does it really save that much battery power? I prefer to receive emails as they arrive, and like push for the calender / task syncing, but if smart sync makes a big difference to battery life then i would be willing to switch to that. I do not send / receive a huge amount of emails during the day so don't think having email set to push would be draining my battery that considerably.
Any thoughts?
