Smart voice recorder skip silence

I've used this app for many years now and I love it, but ever since the latest update skip silence doesn't work on any of my devices, why? Now it continues to run no matter what taking up huge amounts of space in my devices for little recording time. My devices are Galaxy s10+, s7edge, s6edge+, and tab elite t113. This happens on every single one of them. I've configured my settings numbers times,. I've set it to automatic and manual, calibrated my mic, nothing it fixing the skip silence mode so that it actually works.

Email the developer. The phone has nothing to do with detecting silence, that's done in the app.
