It looks like finally Anandtech did some battery testing on bionic and I was rather surprised by the results they obtained. Here is the graph they published in their preliminary review:

I find it very interesting that the Bionic with its rather large battery and display that has been compromised in quality in the name of battery life performed this poorly.

Curious why is it? Is it because of dual core? Software inefficiencies?

Also I find it interesting that people qualitatively report better battery life than in other LTE phones. I wish more reviewers would run standard battery life test to compare different devices.

I found that the TB and the Bionic are very similar on stock and extended batteries. I have both with both types of batteries.

I find it interesting why they benched other phones with 3G only (charge, revo, tbolt) but not the bionic...

sensation seems about accurate with the stock battery. i also have a pair of chichitec 1900mah extended life batteries that add a good 2 or so hours extra. worth the extra 35 bucks for 2 extended batteries and a wall charger for them.

Good observation.. Those other phones were already tested months ago tho. When the full review it should be equal testing across the board.

Remember, this is just a preview of the review.
