SmartSwitch Timestamp on Back Up

Hi all,

Really struggling with SmartSwitch. I've backed up my photos and videos from my S21 Ultra to an external HD via my Macbook and noticed the timestamp has changed to the time & date of the transfer.

I've used Samsumg for years but wife uses iphone and it just seems so much easier and keeps the correct time & date.

Am I doing something wrong? I have media on my phone that's 10 years old as I always transfered from phone to phone and not to computer but now my storage is full. I really dont want to lose the dates otherwise it's just a jumble and in 10 years time I wont remember when photos were taken.

I think Smart Switch is intended for pc even though it can work on Mac , possible that's where your problem lies
