Smoothsync not working since Android Pie update?

I've been using Smoothsync to sync my husbands (very detailed and full) apple calender to the calender app on my android phone. It's been working fine for 12 months but since the recwnt update to Android Pie it no longer works.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, set it up as previously and it shows in syncing but none of the icalendar info appear on my android device. I already have the suggested work around app for Smoothsync installed but notice neither apps have been updated recently.

Is there another app I can use with Android Pie or a new work round?

I am having the same problem. Have you had any luck getting it to work? I am surprised more people are not having issues with this...
