Don't waste your time. I have done a F reset twice for this and other anomalies to no avail.

I have found that closing the messaging app and reopening it pulls the pictures in. I just do that if I ever find I'm missing pictures. Definitely a hassle, but at least an easy workaround until they get it resolved.

Hey, for anyone who's using Handcent, does it still have problems pulling forward Facebook profile pictures? I used that until they lost that ability. Just wondering if that's been resolved? If so, I may have to give it another try.

Yeah, I'm also experiencing this problem after the update. It will come and go though - sometimes all pictures will show up, then none, then only the people I've texted recently won't have pictures. Very strange bug. Not a HUGE issue but would be nice to see it fixed...

I'm having the same issue since upgrading on Telus when it was first available. It comes and goes but i've found that the first "page" of contact pictures is almost always missing while if i scroll down all the other pictures are present. eventually the pictures will show up again. I emailed HTC and they had me clear the cache partition which didn't fix the issue. i haven't heard back from them in 7 days.

Exact same issue here on my HTC One with the stock texting app. Not a deal-breaker but certainly annoying.

Same issue here. started happening after the 4.3 update. I'm rooted and bootloader unlocked and thought that had something to do with it but it seems like it's a 4.3 thing. Really hoping for a fix soon. Does anyone know if this is a stock sms app issue only or do other sms apps have the same bug?

Im taking it that this issue never found itself a fix? Just got my father an HTC One and the issue is persistent.

This just started happening for me. Anyone find a solution?

Most of the pictures for my contacts in the SMS app just disappeared yesterday for some reason.
