Sms delayed or never sent...

Hey guys, still sort of new to android. Problem I've been having since I activated my phone on the 17 is my text too people are arriving much later than when I sent them or never being sent. I called verizon and they went through this while thing and my (min) matched..etc. the verizon guy told me that when I activated my phone that it might not have fully activated. Idk if that makes sense. Calls, internet, data works. my sms do for the most part but some people NEVER get them. Anything I should look at or menus I should be looking in to?

I would hope that they recommend this when you spoke to them, since it's kinda their fix all attempt for anything, but try reactivating your phone. Dial *228, hit send, choose option 1.

If that doesn't work, have you made any modifications to your phone such as root, different roms, modems, kernels, etc.?

The first thing to do is.. send yourself a text message to see how long or if you get it.

Second, Try sending to other people that aren't with the same carrier. This is a testing process. This should make it clear if the problem is with your carrier/phone or theirs.

Our fascinates have same problem as well. VZW sms to ATT has a problem. If you send a Japanese to ATT phone, it'll never arrive. English works with delay.
Even within VZW Fascinate to Fascinate, wife's to son's took 1 week on some sms.
VZW rep in store told us they have carrier connection problem with ATT (blameing ATT).
Anybody else having same problem?
I'm on ATT BB, and I do not have any problem other than VZW friends even in Japanese SMS.
Does any of you pro know why this happens?
