I just got this Evo Shift 4G and installed Groove IP and Google Voice on it to make calls VoIP. And I got these apps working now to send/receive phone calls! I also have internet access now in WiFi hotspots. The only problem now is that I can't send/receive text messages. How do I do this? When I try to send a text message from this Evo, I get the error:

Originally this was a Sprint phone but I do not want to sign up for any plans or carriers since I want to only use this phone in WiFi zones. Does SMS work over WiFi without being on a mobile network? How?
