SMS Error

Excuse my briefness or any spelling mistakes, but I am posting from my phone.

A couple of minutes ago my phone became incapable of sending or receiving text messages. I have reset my phone several times but to no avail. I have also been toggling airplane mode on and off. It is not a signal strength issue, as I have been sending texts from this location all day.

Whenever I send a text, within 5 seconds I receive and error saying the message could not be sent.

Thoughts? Help?

So there is nothing I can do on my end?

If I turn on airplane mode, reset the phone, then turn airplane mode off, it works, bit only temporarily.

It's a network issue. It was affecting all three Sprint phones in my house a couple of hours ago. One of those phones can now send, but the other two cannot. I called sprint's customer care line, which had a recording that essentially stated "we know"

I installed Handcent SMS and discovered that after sending a couple of messages through Handcent, I was able to send texts through the regular messaging app.

Or it could have been fixed for me at exactly the same time, I'm not sure, haha.

My wife had the same problem this evening. After a couple hours it was working fine.

Ditto same problem...powered off phone, powered back on works fine....happened twice this afternoon and this evening....

I had it happen twice last week...called sprint and they reset my signal...fixed it...they are working on permanent fix.
