SMS Lag / Other Lag

Hey Guys,

I've been having this issue for a while. When I work within the native text message app/environment, I often have to wait a few seconds for a message to appear, and even more when I want to do a long press to delete a thread. I have, perhaps, three threads open now, each with maybe a few messages, so I doubt that's the issue.

Similarly, if I long press on the desktop to bring up the widgets menu, I'll often wait a long time between selecting "widgets" and one of the menus actually showing up.

What's the story here? Thanks so much!

Are you using a different launcher? I had similar issues when I used LauncherPro and got rid of it the same day for that exact reason. All is fine again with the stock TouchWiz.

Rocking LauncherPro; I wasn't aware of the lag issue being pegged to that. I'm not sure I'm ready to part with it...

i'm guessing it has to do with the way it calls the list, using a voodoo kernel would probably help...

as for the text thing, i've never experienced that before...
