SMS/MMS bug

My mother got her incredible yesterday(I'm very jealous), and she took a picture of it(in a mirror) and sent it to my brothers. Now, whenever they respond, they show up in All Messages under their phone number, not their name.

I've tried deleting the conversation that used their number and starting one using their name, but when they respond it goes back to their number.

I sent her a message before this and I always show up under Scott. My father was also included in this mass mms, but he didn't respond until today, and he shows up under his name.

This is a really strange bug, and I can't seem to find any pattern to it.
Has anybody else encountered something like this?

also, sidenote, but when are they announcing the winners of the win an incredible contest?

This could be due to the formatting of the number. Android doesn't realize that
###.###.####
1-###-###-####
###-###-####

are all the same number. (at least, that's what I've found on my phone.)

I am new to smart phones. I'm still using a Razor and ill be getting this phone soon. So..... I have been reading the Forums learning from other people. My question is ............ Is the problem stated above because of how peoples' numbers have been stored in contacts? Should I store everyone with the area code in contacts. If I have to store everyone with their area code and they live in the same area code what happens? What is the solution here. This looks like it would bug me !

I think the best thing to do in this situation is to just give your friend a quick call, and tell them to call you back. When their number comes up, add that to your contacts. I'm surprised that Android can't take a XXX-XXX-XXXX number and integrate it from there. Took me a while to figure it out.
