SMS not sending Verizon Pixel 2

Good morning,

Starting last night, I stopped receiving text messages. After going to bed and waking up, I tried to send messages but they won't go through. I'm using the Android Messages app and my messages fail to send. Sometimes it may go through after re-trying a few times but the majority won't send. Is anyone aware of a Verizon issue? I've tried resetting my phone but it didn't help. Any ideas?

Having the same issue on Verizon. I think it's a Verizon issue. My wife was working fine, now hers doing same thing. I use messages, she uses Verizon's messaging app.

I also tried with my Note 8 back up phone, and same issue there. Tells me it's Verizon issue.

Different phone, but I had the same issue earlier this morning on Verizon. I'm using Android messages as well.

Perhaps Verizon is having a service outage in a particular part of the country?
Seems to be working ok in Arizona.

I read your comment earlier, and since I'm on Verizon using Verizon Messages, I sent out a text. A little while ago I got a reply to it. Maybe your problem is with ANDROID Messages, or Verizon is having a LOCAL problem??
