SMS not working at all after flashing Miui 1.8.5

i flashed the rom and now i cannot send or recive text messages...... anyone got any ideas on what is going on???? dont wanna sound stupid but have same thing on another fas and the only diff is the baseband.... could that have something to do with it??? Any help would be great. thanks

Hadn't heard of any issues with SMS. MMS is buggy in some of the later builds (you have to split the messages up at 165 chars).

Try reflashing or grab 1.8.12.......I had issues with 1.7.29 and 1.8.5 but the 1.8.12 build has been very good for me.

i had that issue when i tried to restore all my old sms threads via titanium backup. I just reflashed (with data wipe) and the fixed the problem

Had the same problem with 1.8.5 with nothing but the ROM. Now I'm running MIUI 1.8.26 with a '2.6.35.13 Glitch-V12-DEV-Fascinate+' Kernel overclocked to 1.5 using Tegrak controller. Problem persists. Downloaded Go SMS to see if it was just the app, no joy.

I really want to love this ROM, but this SMS things really needs to be sorted. My girlfriend is on another carrier and is getting kinda fed up with not being able to text me! (Hopefully I can soothe her a bit with G Voice texting)
