sms notifications

Last few days I haven't been getting any sms notifications. When I open up my messages there will be new ones but never get any kind of alert or symbol in the status bar.

Any ideas?

And I'm running the native sms app. Nothing from the market.

Are u rooted. And do u have receive notification checked in the sms settings. Sms app -menu -settings

Not rooted and I do have the notifications checked. I get them sometimes but not all the time.

u can try a 3rd party sms app and see if that works better for u I also believe it only notifes once so if you get 5 texts In at once u will only get one notifacation.

My SMS notification sound somehow change to silent two days ago. I changed it back and that's stayed... my default notification sound has changed from silent to two different sound the last two nights. I'm not sure what has changed changed, but I suspect Locale app is likely the cause.
