SMS text messages saying sent but not sending

Anyone having an issue on the Galaxy Nexus where I send a SMS text message it appears that the message was sent, but it actually does not send? I've confirmed this a few times over the past week. If I reboot the phone, it will sometimes send when it finishes booting. Does anyone know if there is actually a log I could check, or is anyone having issues similar to this? I'm using the default messaging app.

Thanks in advance. I love this phone (aside from unpredictable battery life), but this is critical to have functioning SMS texting when it says sent it was actually sent.
