Snapdragon 636 vs Snapdragon 845?

Interested in the Asus Zenfone 5z that's coming out it has the ad 845 in it , I understand that's the latest processor

Theres also a Zenfone 5 that has a 636 processor. I was told the difference in both isn't that big of a difference since the 636 supports quick charge 4.0 and should provide better battery life than the 845 since it's more efficient on battery saving

Is this true? I know the 845 should be more powerful for gaming but overall how close are these 2 processors in power? Is it worth paying the extra premium (probably $100 or so more) for the 845 processor? Both phones besides the ram and processor are pretty much identical

Based on benchmarks the 845 would be up to 75% more powerful in terms of processing power. It will load things faster and all that.

I would recommend paying a bit more for the Snapdragon 845. It will be a stronger and more efficient processor.
