Is anyone else getting a high pitch squeal when playing music on the Droid through the headphone jack and charging it simultaneously? Normally I use my iPod in the car on long trips, but last night I drove about 3 hours to visit some friends and wanted to catch up on the androidcentral podcast, which are all on my phone. I put my phone in my car dock, plugged in the aux port and hit the road. As I was also using google maps navigation my battery got pretty low so I plugged her in and immediately noticed a high pitch squeal and static-y sound coming from my speakers. Now mind you I plug my iPod in and play music constantly in my car and never hear this sound. Anyone have any ideas? Poor charging port shielding on the Droid?

I have the same issue but with my iPod... I also notice that it only occurs when my headlights are on. It's probably just something about all the electrical currents.

Get your stereo, or cigarette lighter outlet grounded properly. Sounds like this could be the problem.

I had the same problem. I got a ground loop isolator from Radio Shack and it got rid of 95% of the noise. If it doesn't work just take it back.
