So Android 6.0 for the G4 inbound!

If this fixes the lumpy performance audio gaps and stutters I'll be pretty pleased.

Good to see that LG is finished with their work on it. I predict T-Mobile, Sprint, ATT, Verizon, in that order but within 10-14 days of each other.

That's pretty fast for an oem. I'm still not expecting M until January at the soonest though. US carriers are still too good at making things difficult. If I were to guess on the order, I'd say T-Mobile first and Verizon last, with the others in the middle somewhere.

Edit -The 5.0 update order for the G3 was AT&T (early Feb) > Sprint (mid Feb) > T-Mobile (early April) > Verizon (mid April).

LG G4 getting Android 6.0 next week! Despite Poland-only release the KDZ will work for all H815 variants. Sucks to buy USA carrier devices.

Does that mean we will have to flash or we will just get it OTA?

I'd bet T-Mobile won't be first. Their carrier Wi-fi calling complicated things on the developer end.

I'm putting more hope into this update than I previously wanted to. I made a wood mockup of the 6P and it's huge, a bit bigger than I really want to go as the G4 is already pushing the limit. So I've got my backup Nexus 5 prepped just in case this kdz flash goes badly and I'm eagerly awaiting news of this update.

Usually I'm the type to wait but I'm kind of annoyed with the lag on this top end phone, running the same stuff the N5 is much better.

Oh if only the N5 or the N5x was available in 64gb...

Not to put a damper on things.... Last year, LG made an equally big splash when it rolled out 5.0 to the LG G3 in Poland (what is it about Poland?). This was VERY early on... about a week after Google released Lollipop. But US carriers didn't get it until several months later... like March/April or so. There were a few 5.0 AOSP ROMs that dropped shortly after, but no 'official' LG based stuff until well into 2015.

Yes, one of the more compelling reasons to go unlocked international H815.

Party pooper!

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN YO!

In all seriousness, hopefully US carriers don't have to wait THAT long, I mean, it is a big update.

And 5.0 wasn't? 😋

Heh... I hope you all get it soon... My wife has a G4.

Maybe cloudy will get an image quickly.

Nice to know that between my Nexus 7 and my H815, I will run Marshmallow on my Android devices only a few weeks after it was officially released :)

I'm hoping marshmallow fixes the wifi/data/call issues I've been having. Otherwise I'll probably start looking into a new phone. Having a phone I can't make calls on is kinda useless. Hopefully clearing cache on my phone app helps with the call issues.

I assume you have Advanced Calling enabled?
