So are there still lots who haven't received the 5.0 yet?

Got the update today. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, my lock screen wallpaper is a little more blown up than my standard home screen wallpaper.

I haven't tried a factory reset yet. Hoping it doesn't come to that.

So far my wallpaper is OK but when I call someone their picture is blown up and unrecognizable when on the call. This is different behavior than with EMUI 4.1. The dialer app has increased in size overall it seems.

Hmm, don't think I've encountered this on mine. Let us know if anything changes!

I've dug through all the settings, I feel like I'm overlooking something but this is driving me nuts. Happens on all wallpapers. Also, the factory reset didn't help. Tried themes & theme editor too.

Do you have the low resolution battery saver on?
No, it wasn't on. I guess I'm just gonna deal with it. It seems to be unique to me. I've haven't read about anyone else having this issue, and a Google search yields no results. I tried a couple of lock screen apps, but they're pretty disappointing. This experience is pretty disappointing.

Still nothing with my Honor 8 or my MedPad 3 which runs 4.1 too. Reading all the reviews I've decided I'm going to hang with 4.1 until I have to upgrade or forced to. 4.1 is the best ever. I like all it and have nothing bad to say about 4.1.
Okay guys I've gotten my update a couple of days ago now and I'm pleased to say that it's still very much EMUI all the way. Few tweaks here and there but it's definitely to me still not Android nor IOS. EMUI is its own software interface and I assume either you love it or dislike it. In no way does it remind me of anything like real Android which is why it's very strong enough to be branded it's own EMUI name and offered to the masses as a new and fresh third mobile software option to Android and IOS. I can tell you I'd pick this over Android or IOS any day of the week. It's unique refreshing interface is something none of the industry as seen before and I believe it why it has gotten criticized at times because it is just that much different. However it's still a mobile software and the layout is no different than Android or IOS. No way around a mobile software general layout. What is different about it is it's user interface and the experience and totally unique to it own feedback the user gets from it. Even if you throw a launcher on it, it still very much EMUI which to me isn't Android nor IOS. It can be branded easily to compete with both and as well it should be. I know with certainty that EMUI if branded would have its own market share or followed, supporters and users. It's just that strongly different.

No problems here with my update as I can tell it Nougat a bit which personally I'm not a huge fan of but I'm especially glad I still have what I know and have become to absolutely love, EMUI.

So glad you got it and that it's tweaked to your liking!

My lock screen issues aside, I thought I'd let you guys know that I'm very much enjoying 7.0 on the Honor 8. I feel like the phone manages RAM better. I noticed lag when using the IMDb app on Marshmallow, now nonexistent on Nougat. The device is super fast and responsive. Also, loving the more traditional notifications and lock screen controls for music/podcast.

Sounds like a great experience - thanks for the update! :)

Nice! Finally someone who doesn't see Android but rather EMUI as I do. I thought I was alone in that world.

Haha, no you are not! I see it as a totally unique experience, for sure. It's made me re-examine my future of smartphone usage - I may stick with Honor/Huawei from here on out! We'll see! In the meantime, I'm loving my Honor 8.
