If you go to apps instead if notification settings you can select Gmail from that list and it will have its own notification settings, but the led pulse is a systemnwide setting in the notification settings menu.

Just got it today. I really like the way notifications are handled. Very nice. And the app drawer is great to have too.
I've tried everything, haha...Rolling back updates, triple checking all settings, restarting device.....I might to just let it be

Yes, I absolutely LOVE how they handled notifications and the lockscreen. Just beautiful.
