So question. I ordered my unlocked s23u with the 500 credit for my s22 ultra. I can't cancel it anymore but decided to want to trade in my flip 4 instead. Now the flip 4 is only worth 400 credit. I'm hoping I can sell my flip 4 for 500 and use that money to pay Samsung back since I know they recharge the discount to your credit card if the trade isn't sent in. I just don't want to get like banned or anything from being able to order in the future.

You won't. The trade in offer is always dependent on Samsung receiving the unit back in the conditions stated and is always subject to cancelation without penalty (other than having to pay back what they discounted in the first place). You just don't use the trade-in label and done! Or, if you want to do it quicker, you can always contact Customer Service and cancel there.

You won't be banned. As stated above you'll receive a charge for the amount of the instant credit to the payment method you used when placing the order. This will not hinder you from ordering again as your additional charge covers the remaining price of the device.

Sent from my SM-S908U1 using AC Forums mobile app

It's actually also written in the order that this is fine: "If you decide to not send the trade-in device, your trade-in will be automatically cancelled and Samsung will charge you for the trade-in discount issued during your purchase."
