So...how are you getting on with the Nexus 6P?

I've had mine about 5 weeks now, and I love it.

Apart from an issue I caused with a screen protector, it's been faultless. Everything works brilliantly, I do just wish they had allowed for extra storage. A micro SD slot would make it perfect.

Has anyone found any secrets, or tips with either the Nexus 6P or Android 6?

Tony.

It's been a few months since I have my Nexus6p and I must say its the best phone I have ever owned. I have no issues so far but do wish the volume was adjusted better. When at the half way mark its not as loud as it should be. I find myself have to turn it up to the max many times when listening to videos besides that the front speakers are great..

I've had it since a few days after it was sent out to the first waves of pre orders and so far so good. Battery life is great for what I do, very stable and quick and the phone works. I find myself with the 128GB enough room. I do have an OTG cable to use my USB sticks to view work files. The only thing I did wish it was able to do was HDMI via USB since I spend time at hotels and I used to watch movies and use my phone to hook up to the TV to watch movies. But I have an iPad which I just picked up an HDMI adapter for. It works much better that way so it frees up my phone to use for everything else. Not a big deal to me.

Also initially I had issues with me accidentally pressing the volume buttons but with the Supcase, issue is gone.

I am getting along just fine :). I am really enjoying my first ever Nexus device.

This is my second Nexus device (Samsung Galaxy Nexus was my first), and compared to that experience, this is going along swimmingly. I will say that the size is still something I am getting used to, as this phone is so tall, it can be a pain when in your pocket and you go to sit down in your car or someplace and it jabs me in my side.
But other than that, great device!

My comments from ownership since around the release date:

- Battery life is just stunning. I have been keeping a log of my charges, and my standard battery life is 60-72 hours between charges, plenty of use, 3.5 hours screen-on time. I think this is my favorite feature, I almost never have to worry about charging it and when I do it takes only an hour. If I leave the house with 20% and forget my charger, I can easily get though the 8 hour work day knowing my phone won't die on me.

- The speed of the phone is like no other phone I have ever used, including the iPhone 6S Plus. It simply flies - zero lag anywhere, and I haven't seen so much as a hint of a stutter in all the time I've used it. Every normal task is absolutely instant and it's the first phone I have ever used that can keep up with me.

- The fingerprint reader is amazing, I have not had a single failed read. Opens the phone in well under a second with 100% accuracy, what more could you want.

- The camera lives up to the hype. At the end of the day it's still just a camera phone, but it is pretty damn good. Reputable websites have rated it objectively ahead of every other phone except the GS6 and Note 5 and I can see why. It's the first phone I've had where I use the camera on a regular basis, and even supports RAW if you are into that. Starts up nice and quick, under a second.

- 32GB has been more than enough for me. I have a bunch of apps, hundreds of songs, and about 19 GB free.

- The speakers are awesome. They are so loud I have scared the crap out of myself on more than one occasion when I forget to turn it down and I get a notification haha. Definitely leave nothing to be desired.

- Headphone volume is great, no complaints.

- Call quality has been flawless, but I must admit I don't make a ton of calls

- Zero Bluetooth issues, flawless performance there so far with a wide variety of devices, speakers, and vehicles

Everyone knows the rest of the specs. Basically I have not had a single disappointment, and everything has been lightning fast and flawless. Combined with insane battery life this is by far the best phone I have ever owned or used so far.

My first ever Nexus device and I couldn't be happier. I had 3 previous Samsung devices and if Google keeps on track with future phones on par with the 6P, I'll never own a Samsung device again!

Cool. More happy customers then? Ha ha

I agree with the batter life. My Samsung Note 3 was reasonable with the useage I put it through, this is another level up for sure. I sometimes have to re read the estimated 3 day's left on battery ! And quick charge, my god, it's amazing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was pretty sure I'd made a good choice, it's encouraging to see others feel the same.

It's my first Nexus phone and I love it. I only had/have Nexus tablets and love stock Android. I am very happy with the 6p. Only thing I would improve is the audio quality. It's rated poor compared to other phones... And coming from an HTC M8 H.K. edition, audio quality could be better.

I have had mine for 3 days. Love it and stock Android.

I was comparing the size of the Android OS with my friends Note 5 and was shocked how his OS was taking up an additional 5 GB of storage space.

I am definitely not missing the bloatware on my Galaxy s5.

No more Samsung phones for me. By far the best Android experience by far. Totally smokes my Note 5 and even my 6S Plus I had. Love this phone

I have only had mine about 2 weeks and I have to say this is my favorite phone ever. My first Nexus phone and it doesn't disappoint.

My first true Nexus phone (Verizon Galaxy Nexus doesn't count) and it's amazing! Very pleased with the 6P...may be my favorite Android phone ever.

My charger cable doesn't fit flush anymore. At first I was worried it was the phone, but it appears to be the cable, as my USB-C to Standard A cable does not share the same issues.

Still a little irritating, because otherwise I love the device.

I'll admit when I heard Huawei, I was like WTF?!?! I was like this when Google announced LG and I guess I need to really trust Google more. LOL

I didn't buy Motorola because of the Price & Size, not to mention Samsung killed it with the Note 4!

I am loving my Nexus 6P. I upgraded from Nexus 4 and I find the hardware and everything else quite powerful than my three year old phone. I am so addicted to using it at the moment that I can't stop taking pictures, and using the internet on the phone the whole time. It's quite nice.

Just had it for a couple of days but I'm impressed. Battery life has been great with over 6 hours of screen on time. Doze really helps. Screen is good and so is the camera. It feels really well built.

Pros:
Battery life
Screen
Processor speed
Design
(Not 6P exclusive) Project Fi seems to have great coverage in my home town.

Wish list:
IR blaster (I really miss this)
Better screen auto backlight adjustment: seriously, my G3 puts this phones capabilities to shame.
Equal speaker output: The top is stronger than the bottom
Touch screen wake up
