So...how are you getting on with the Nexus 6P?

Definitely the best phone I've had and I switch pretty frequently. It blows away the LG G4 that I had before this one, and this is the first time that I feel like I might hold onto it for more than a year. Every phone I've had in the past has always felt like there were some compromises. On my G4, it was the software/UI, on the 2 generations of Moto X's that I had before that, it was the camera, but with the G4, I can't point to any real shortcomings. Some other points:

-The phone is so sleek and sexy, and I hate that I ended up putting it in a case after a couple weeks of using it naked. I got the Ringke Fusion Crystal case, which at least shows off the sexiness mostly. The aluminum did get a few small dings and scratches before I put the case on even though I never dropped it.
-While I don't have a problem with the size and like the big screen when I'm holding the phone, it's a little uncomfortable when it's in my pocket. I don't really like sitting down with it in my pocket at all and tend to put it on my desk or on the ground instead.
-Battery life has been better than any other phone I've had in the past. I top it off in the car on my commute home from work anyway, but it's never lower than 75% at that time anyway. I use pushbullet when I'm at work, so I don't really turn the screen on that often. I do use it for listening to podcasts most of the day through headphones.
-I've been really impressed with the camera. Coming from the G4, it was my biggest hesitation, but I can't really tell any difference in the image quality.
-I didn't think I'd end up caring about the fingerprint scanner, but I really do like it for unlocking the phone. To me, it's way better than the double-tap on the G4, which was very finicky.
-Ambient display needs to be improved. I've used Moto X's in the past and the active display is so much better. Ambient display is so finicky and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for when the notifications pulse or show up when you pick up the phone.
-Phone feels very smooth and fast. No performance issues for me, but I don't really play any games other than a few really casual ones every once in a while.
-The best feature is getting the software updates before anybody else. This is the first time I've had a non-Verizon branded phone, and it's such a great feeling to not have to wait around for the updates.

Better screen auto backlight adjustment: seriously, my G3 puts this phones capabilities to shame.

I'm glad i'm not the only person who has had issues with the backlight adjuster. It's kind of brutal at times.

I love this phone. I came from the Note 3 (which I hated). I've also had Motorola phones. This is by far the best experience I've had. I had some hurdles to get through. I had to work with Verizon to finally get voice mail notifications. Also had some texting issues that were Verizon issues, but have worked through them all. My wife has the Nexus 5X, so everything I correct on mine, applies to hers.

Soon as I posted a 5 star review on Amazon, the auto-focus on the back camera went. Now when I launch the camera app, the phone makes a popping sound and all of my pix are blurry.

Yes, I tried emptying the camera app cache.
Yes, I tried a factory restore.
Yes, I'm running 6.0.1.

Apparently a lot of people are having the same issue and Google is shipping out new phones if you got it from their store. This sucks because when I return this to Amazon, there's no replacements in stock. #FirstWorldProblems

Coming from S2>HTC M7>Moto G>S4>Nexus 5, this is by far the best phone I have ever used. I have had the 64GB Frost model for about 3 weeks, on Project Fi.

Pros:
- First phone I felt rooting wasn't necessary
- Camera is awesome (HDR can be a bit faster but not too bad)
- Battery life is great for my usage pattern
- Speakers are great
- Screen is awesome
- Smooth unadulterated Android experience
- Fingerprint scanner is unbelievable
- Absolutely feels premium and design is gorgeous
- Project Fi is fantastic

Cons:
- Battery life isn't great for the battery size (qHD screen doesn't help)
- Phone feels great in hand but also it's the first phone that I felt I need a case (Nillkin Nature and Spigen Hybrid are awesome btw and also helps with the grip and when picking up the phone)
- I do miss a few features of root apps and custom ROMs (Greenify, clear all of recent apps, Titanium, custom notification menu, etc.)

Curious, how did you get Verizon to get your voicemail notifications working? I haven't been getting mine either. That, and my network extender will not work for data only calls and texts.

Remove HD voice and visual voicemail and your voicemail will be back go the way it used to be without the text message with letters and numbered mixed.

I've had mine, running on Project Fi for a couple of months and I also have to say that this is the best all around phone I've ever owned. I was concerned before getting it about the size, and it's large, but as I've grown used to is, I don't think I could go back to a smaller phone now. This phone is fast, has excellent battery life and the audio performance (wired and Bluetooth) is really good. I got the 64GB model and still have about 37 GB free.

Biggest plus of this phone for me is the fingerprint sensor - it makes using LastPass much easier, and is very reliable overall. I like the placement on the back - this phone goes from my pocket to being unlocked instantaneously.

Project Fi is also a major plus. I had T-Mobile before and coverage was OK, but it seems that Sprint has coverage in areas where T-Mob was weak, so I now have solid coverage all over my home area (Northern California / Sacramento).

I was really worried the camera wouldn't match up to the note 5. I take alot of pictures of my kids and they aren't exactly easy. The 6p is incredibly fast and I'm very pleased with the quality. The battery life is good, getting my on average 4 go 5 hours of screen on time. I just installed this dbrand skin on my black 6p today. Cheers

Curious... these are all still available on the 6P. Greenify is kind of useless since you can use an app like Naptime to tweak Doze. Custom ROMs, mods, etc. And if you use the systemless root, you don't even sacrifice Android Pay.

How is this a con? You can have all of those things and install a custom rom.

got 64gb model for Christmas. i've been very pleased with it. it's taking some to get used to its size, but i still consider its size a benefit. i'm still occasionally forgetting about the fingerprint reader, turning on the phone, and then remembering when presented with a request for a pattern. my only issue is that i need to order additional cables and chargers--i just haven't decided what I want (or how to identify what is going to be reasonably priced and sufficient quality, i.e. on par with the type-c cables it came with).

I like it to be honest but I still wish something like this would come about in a 5 inch footprint. If the 5x had the build quality of this and the internal specs I would be in perfect heaven right now. Sadly everything seems to be getting bigger and bigger. I miss the 5 inch flagships.

I got a 64gb Alu-minium version 6 days ago. It still feels small coming from the Nexus 6, but I overall I like it.

Pros: You guys know this (camera; battery life; somehow even faster than the N6; sweet, sweet build quality)

Con: The speaker and call quality are a step down from the N6. There's a bit of a metallic "twang" whenever the haptic feedback is triggered that I'm not a fan of (though I like that it's quieter than the N6's buzz). I miss the larger screen sometimes.

Overall I'm really impressed with the 6P, but the upgrades aren't without a couple of tradeoffs.

I've got the Graphite 64GB and as my first Nexus (also Android) phone, I'm generally enjoying it! I've had mine for about 3 months, so I've also discovered a few quirks here and there too

Pros:
- Speed and generally agility: this thing is mighty fast. No stutters (yet).
- Fingerprint sensor: now that I've got it registered correctly, typing in any password is generally a pain now that my phone instantly unlocks when I pick it up
- Screen: I went from a Lumia 1020 (4.5" 768p) to this (5.7" 1440p). This screen is glorious.

Cons:
- Battery: isn't as great as I thought it would be. Gets to the end of the day with roughly the same percentage of battery left as the 1020 did, with about 3-4hrs of SOT before dying.
- Android things: occasionally I get the little quirks of Android - i.e. my Moto 360 not reconnecting, or my slow-mo video coming out choppy (which does get super-annoying sometimes). These things are usually fixed with a reboot, and I wasn't expecting iPhone reliability coming to Android anyways.

Overall I REALLY like this phone. It's big, epic, powers through everything and everything about it is fantastic.

Nexus 6P is really awesome.. I did realize after using couple of other phones there is no match for Nexus 6p.. I've LG V10 which is great phone.. but when compared to Nexus 6p feels slow in games and Animations.. Scrolling on Nexus 6p is on next level. things launches so fast.. Fingerprint reader is awesome.. I Just wish I could update it to SD820 for even better battery life..

I put my T-Mobile sim in my Nexus 6P. Works perfectly! If you open the "phone" app, select "voicemail". Turn on "Visual Voicemail."
I get a "text" from the phone number that called with the voicemail message.
