So how many people came from the S2

Yep, came from S2 here, VERY much worth the upgrade.

As good as the S2 is, I loved it and had nothing against it, but love my S3!

Loved it so much I bought one at full price for my wife. She loves it way better than her HTC EVO 3D.

MyBackupPro claims to xfer call log, SMS and MMS.

I just upgraded from the E4GT and there are great improvements, notably the screen and increased battery capacity. Notice that I didnt say life, as your mileage may vary.

Those who are making an issue out of supposed lag running a video whilst using another program...sounds like a 1% problem even if it is one. I dont see a reason to wait for the next Nexus, but I would wait, if I did, for the availability of the Note 2. Otherwise, I would spring for the S3 and be prepared to enjoy it!

It most definitely is a 1% problem. No worry thought, I love my GS3. Another thing you guys should mention is how much better the GPS is on this thing vs the GS2.

I totally agree with you on the GPS thing...infinitely better than E4GT, even if the ICS update improved things for me. Also, the aftermarket is better and 3G speeds are better. I don't have 4G in Jacksonville yet, so that's the main drawback.

I love this phone, absolutely love it. Though the "cell standby" is taking up most of the battery life the life is still WAAAY better than the SG2. I'm at 46% on 16h and 24m of time on the battery...that's with GPS on(which connects in about 2 seconds compared to the MINUTES it took on the SG2), email refresh every 15 minutes, ESPN updates, and light to moderate use etc. My SG2 would be at 15% by now.

If it was socially acceptable I'd have sex with this phone, lol. ;)

The gs3 has the best gps I've seen on any phone.

I stepped up from the GS2 as well. loved the GS2....love the GS3 even more. it is sad that i have yet to experience LTE tho. I'm in NYC with Sprint....isn't up and running yet....but i can't wait

I'm not paying full price for it, no way I'd pay full retail price for ANY phone, working on a deal with someone to snatch one up for $300-325.

I get 4g all over the place with my g2.. I hate 3g so until LTE is lit up for real the g2 it is.. Why buy somthing that gets speeds of 55k my old modem was faster. If I were on another network i would go for it. look at the map wimax still beats LTE hands down.

I don't that Samsung would've given Sprint a wimax enabled phone that would've further fragmented the line. I thought the 3G only speeds would've been a big deal for me but it's tolerable. To bad Sprint's LTE isn't as fast as Verizon's or AT&t's.

I personally don't care about being as fast. The reason being is because most of the videos I see of sprint lte are still pulling 20 down... And honestly that will easily allow you to do anything on your phone. Would faster hurt to have? Of course not but I could easily stream, browse the net, download stuff all at the same time and not suffer with 20Mbit.

I'd rather just have the LTE even if it's around 10 or more.. Then multitasking will be cake. The 1-2 Mbit 3g (sometimes less) is where multitasking sucks.

Because I'm not on my phone every second of the day downloading stuff. To be honest I rarely turned on the 4G when I had the S2...no point. I don't need blazing speed every inch that I travel. I have Wi-Fi at home and at work and when I need to use it outside of those 2 places 3G is fine, I'm not watching Youtube videos when I'm out to dinner or hanging with friends....sure there are some dead spots in my 3g area but eh, it's not the end of the world.

Well I picked up a used one for $300. I giggled a little when the GPS connected in 3 seconds compared to the 5 minutes it took on the S2 lol

I know what you mean. I swear, if this was a scary movie,I would have been butchered alive due to me being lost in the middle of nowhere due to my GPS not locking.

3g is horrible. I get, on average, 8mbs on 4g and less than .50mbs on 3g.
