Curious to see how many of these Google is getting back. I love the device so far, I was just too impatient to wait for the preorder. Now let's see how long it takes to get that refund

If I could find one locally i would, but unfortunately all those who didn't pre-order bought them all up.
I pre-ordered. Bought one locally anyway. And will refuse shipment...as soon as Google actually ships something.
I ordered on the 28th. Even now, I haven't heard a peep from Google. Google will not meet their 3 week committment to me. They probably won't even get it to me before next weekend. So I'm glad I picked up one on Saturday at Staples.
Was planning on it, but Staples purchase has a baaaaaad screen (left side not flush, ghosting, + extremely sensitive to firm pressure such that the "fluid movement" effect starts with any sort of pressure on bezel) so I'm planning returning Staples purchase and accepting Google's shipment.
I'm going to staples to get one right now. I'll wait till the end of tomorrow and see if I get an email. If I do. I'll return the staples one and just wait for google to ship it.
I originally preordered through google play for a bday gift for my wife. I couldn't wait so I bought one at Sam's Club on Saturday. I liked her's so much that I went and bought myself one on Sunday. UPS came to deliver my GP order but I left a note asking them to return the item to sender. Google really messed this one up.
Not sure how I was able to buy 2 nexus 7's prior to getting my preorder. Oh well I am happy that I have them now.
edit: forgot to add that I was able to pick up a Nexus 7 and get a 2 year extended warranty for the same price as the one I purchased on GP.

I would resell it on eBay or craigslist......if you haven't heard by now there is a shortage on the 16g nexus tablet and there not shipping till 3-4 weeks if that. I would take any Tablet off anyone's hands for what they paid. Just PM me

I refused mine with a note on the door, since I am on vacation. I got.mine at Sam's already. Looked at the tracking, and the driver got the message... said I had refused. I would have put it up for sale but not worth the hassle.

Yeah, I probably would have hung on to mine to sell if I knew there would be a shortage, or further delay. Oh well.
Btw, it's nice that UPS let's you track the return shipment. This time it's being sent UPS 3 DAY SELECT.

I missed the UPS guy earlier. Ive gotta call them and schedule a pickup. Looking at the label on my package, does this just go back to the Louisville, KY address??
Yes, mine says it's heading back to Louisville. I think you can take it to a UPS store if you don't want to wait on a guy to come by.
