So I have a little problem need some help

I decided to clean up my sd card and and better categorize my music and what not. So I made it all nice and perty and deleted the music off the device. Now my media player still shows these songs in my library yet i cannot play them. Anyway I can clear that list somehow? I am stumped

nevermind I just stayed in the player a little longer and it is getting rid of the songs one by one, however it is extremely slow
