I know its prob just me, but i hold the phone pretty high n my hand and it works fine.

Also, when it is in the phone holder in my car i can just reach over the top and unlock the phone..

I complained as much as anyone else, but have found its not as bad as i thought it would be,

I like it as well. Placing it in the middle of the back would've been problematic for me as it would've been in an uncomfortable location. I think there are a lot of people like us both, but the vocal majority seem to have an issue.

Agreed, after a day of messing with the phone its a non factor and use it way more than the iris scanner to unlock. Could be just having bigger hands help. Have an S8+.

With a case, it's actually in a great spot since the edge of the case opening allows your finger to line up perfectly on the fingerprint sensor!

The butt hurt over placement was totally blown out of proportion. It's almost as bad as the wailing over the removable PLASTIC back COVER.

Just my opinion, I don't like it.

I also have the Huawei Mate 9 and that one has it in the middle and it's the fastest FPS I've ever experienced. It unlocks instantly. I find I need to press the FPS on S8+ two or three times before it recognizes my print, and I've scanned each finger twice. I also find the iris scanner and facial recognition to take longer to unlock than the FPS on the Huawei Mate 9. I end up unlocking my S8+ using the pattern; the Mate 9 spoiled me.

I think that's my main concern with the S8+, it has so many unlock options and neither is as good or fast as the Mate 9's.

Agreed. I still use the iris sensor most often, but I have no issues with the FPS.

I like it as well, when I first saw the photos I agreed that it was a bad place. But now that I've used it I haven't hit the camera lens once!!! Agreed that my case makes it really easy. I use iris scanner but find myself using the fingerprint scanner more than any other option now.
