So, I lost $70 in Google survey rewards in the last couple weeks...

What's the final resolution of this situation? They just don't care? If there is a thread dedicated to this I can't find?

Not really "just" - I lost about $60 a couple of years ago, but they wouldn't tell me why back then. (Since I got to know some people at Google, and told them that it might be nice if they made it a public policy .... who knows? Maybe that helped.)

Just recently, a reminder popped up in my Google Opinion Rewards app as well about when rewards expire. OP, are you saying that you lost $70 even before the one year limit?

I'm not sure what they would deem as fraudulent activity -- maybe if you said you visited some place that you actually didn't, and made up a review or answers to the questions they gave?

yea some did lose theirs over the years but for whatever reason, it was not enforced on everyone. I had some rewards that lasted for well over a year until I spent it about 6 months ago. Not sure if the linked article mentioned the lack of enforcementt but the original one I read did.

not sure of the context when you mentioned public policy but when I signed up for rewards a few years ago, I was told of the one year rule. If you lost money, you should have known without having to ask.

Sorry if there was some misunderstanding. I figured a lot of you knew about this already. They did a mass purge of apparently expired rewards in the last two weeks. There were articles written about it. In the app, it said to "check back for an update next week" about lost rewards. I can't find anything. I figured someone might know something. To the person know posted the TOS, that's real helpful. /s Been using this for at least 5 years now and never have rewards expired, even if they are years old, which is why I had a balance of $110 that is now $40.

The way you worded your post we can't assume you knew them. For all we know you were just another person complaining about "losing" the credits.
Just because Google HADN'T been enforcing the expiration doesn't mean there wouldn't be enforcement levied...

Yeah, it's definitely a bummer, but TOS are TOS -- you can never argue strongly in your favor if/when a company suddenly starts enforcing them.:-\
