The screen on the S4 is just so suited to reading books because of its great size! I currently have FBReader installed on my device. However, I like what iBooks brings to the table on my iPod touch, so is there a comparable ebook reader that has great compatibility that you guys swear by? Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!

iBooks has shelves, it displays the book with its actual cover, it lets you bookmark pages, it lets you highlight information, it lets you look up words in text by double-tapping them, and it has slick page-turning animations.

Oh, ok. Definitely check out Aldiko then. It has the shelf view with the covers, bookmarks, tap-hold to words define (via google). It also lets you change the color of the words and background with a lot of control over the brightness & contrast. It has two settings for day & night. So you can have different settings for each depending on whether you are reading in the dark or in light. It sounds like it would be a good replacement to iBooks.

And it is free! Can't go wrong.

Wow, that actually sounds incredible! Is there a noticeable difference between paid and free? And does it have slick page-turning animation? Also, does it seem to drain battery needlessly?
