After owning a iPhone on at&t. I'm doubtful the upgrade will come in April. It took them 6 or 7 months to allow mms on the iPhone. If it does come in April it'll be the last day of April.

the update has been confirmed this month for both the Inspire and the Atrix.

the reason the iphone's MMS took a while was because it was a totally new feature Apple needed to add to the iPhone so naturally it was added with the Apple/iTunes software upgrades. this HSUPA update is more of an AT&T firmware upgrade. instead of the manufacturers upgrade.

HSUPA (High Speed Upload Packet Access). Like it has been said, this is not a type of network but part of the hardware in the Inspire. You should care about this in relation to your download speeds. Think about how most connections to websites work; there is constant traffic in BOTH directions.
This whole situation is a lot like being in a Porsche while stuck in a traffic jam: You have killer equipment you can't take advantage of. I would be MUCH more frustrated had I come from something like an iPhone 3Gs or iPhone 4 but I came over from an Edge only BB Curve 8900. My best down on that thing was like 156 Kbps. I'm seeing at least 2 Mbps down in most (outside) locations or near windows when using my Inspire.
I think we all have little choice but to stop waiting for the water to boil. Oh and I hear the Thunderbolt over at VZW is having issues of its own. Misery loves company.

Currently getting 5400kbs down and 905 up on a tower that was just upgraded to HSPA+ today. Plenty fast for my usage patterns as i don't upload much more than a few pics now and then.

How did you know the tower was just upgraded, did you see the guys working on it and go talk to them? Also, you're the first person I've seen report an upload speed over 400k. Where are you located?

Yes do tell? Your down is faster than my best Speedtest result to date (as of 3/25). So you have (or think you have) HSPA+. Do you know if you received the enhanced backhaul to support it as well? Based on the discrepancy between your up and down, I'd say AT&T still has additional enhancements to complete.

I just ran a Speed Test here in the office. For some reason the results only come back as 'Fail Boat'.

Download speeds are better than iPhone in Tampa FL. I came from an iPhone 4 and the wife has an iPhone 4 and my inspire speeds are faster by a MB most of the time using speedtest app from the market and app store.

Ive been getting good speeds in Connecticut. was getting 3200 down and usual 300 up this morning
right now its at 2856 kbps down and 352 up
i get around 4mbps with the speakeasy test. not sure why

I live in a small town of 800 people about 50 miles east of Minneapolis/ St. Paul. It's the only tower for 8 or 9 miles so I'm 100 percent positive it was just upgraded yesterday as I have been getting 5/5 bars on the EDGE network ever since that tower was built (~2 years ago). That tower is the only reason I switched to AT&T in the first place. Anyways, I'm now getting 5/5 bars of H+ off that same tower as of around noon yesterday.
Don't know if I can emphasize this enough but, if that tower wasn't there, I would get absolutely zero service, so yeah, I'm positive it's just been upgraded.
Speeds were taken around 5pm local, slightly lower later in the evening.
On the way home here in Kansas City I did a test by the airport & came up with the following speeds on 2 different servers.
D: 2341 kbps | U: 313 kbps
D: 2675 kbps | U: 354 kbps

What is your signal strength (dBm)? settings/about phone/Network/Signal Strength. The 5th bar on some phone can have a 40 dBm variance. I'm just curious how close to zero you are.
thats not fair at all you live in an area with only 800 people and i live in a town with 40,000 people and a sizable university and we have been promised 3G since september and has just been delayed again until july
I tried speed test. I would always get varying download speeds. Same upload speeds. It all just depends on variables to that downloading signal. I don't really trust it to be completely accurate as I have done multiple test in a row and nothing changed.
Something tells me we are not going to get our fix this month...prove me wrong ATT.
