Well, in those cities (I happen to live in a suburb of Chicago, and its actually the entire Chicago market which is pretty big), it does some good.

I feel like people have been reading between the lines in my post. I was not criticizing Verizon for lying about a date. I know that they have never given us a date. I was criticizing them for their appalling lack of communication.

Verizon has no idea when the phone will be ready. If they set a date later to give them some wiggle room (like they did), people start complaining about how the phone is SO late (you), and if they set an earlier date to keep people excited then don't meet their deadline, people complain about how the phone is delayed (you). Just chill out, Verizon will announce it when they know the phone is ready to be released. I'd like to have a better product with fewer bugs. I don't know if you've read any UK GNex reviews, but it supposedly has some fairly substantial bugs/flaws. Every phone releases with bugs, and Verizon is probably using their later launch as a way to have time to fix many of those bugs.

I agree with Mr. Poppalopolis. Funny how everyone is placing all the blame on Verizon. IF the phone is indeed late, it could be that Google or Samsung dropped the ball. It doesn't really matter to me. The bottom line is that they will release the phone when they release the phone.

I have read that. So what about the volume bug? Is that Verizon's fault too? Honestly, I'm not concerned with placing blame because the phone wasn't released on the unannounced date. It will be released when it is released.

If you've read that and aren't concerned with placing blame, why do you wonder or care why most people seem to blame VZW?

Because I take everything I read on here with a grain of salt and keep an open mind. That doesn't mean nothing on here is true. Some of it makes perfect sense, but that doesn't mean it's fact and I really have no way of knowing what is fact and what isn't.

Don't know because I don't have one, but I would hope not.

BUT that doesn't mean it isn't a bug and I'm pretty sure Verizon had nothing to do with it. The point is that IF it is delayed because of problems with the hardware or software, it could be Google or Samsung's fault. You know, like the volume bug. Get it?

I get it. I just doubt Google employees would unofficially express frustration with VZW if it were Google's fault. That's not a career friendly move.

Instead, I'd expect some of the VZW employee sock puppets here to make snarky comments about Google delaying things rather than just going into ostrich mode about how it's "not really delayed, technically."
