But the same thing happens to me so I guess it may be nothing to worry about...or does your volume not return to normal afterwards like mine?

It may be worth trying a Cache Partition wipe, or even, if it's a serious annoyance and your personal data is backed up, a Factory Reset.

Also, perhaps it's being caused by a bad app....if you think that's likely, you could try Safe Mode.

I have found over the last 3 or so years when dealing with a problem like this in android 9 times out of 10 it usually turns out to be a 3rd party app that is causing the problem. Might be worth investigating?
