Is now showing significant signs that the battery is not keeping the full charge it originally had. When my battery gets to 19%, it takes 2 mins to jump to 15% then the phone turns off.

I tested it again and it seems that when Battery Bot registers 19%, its really at 5%. No worries, just gonna buy a new battery but thought the folks coming up on one year might want a heads up.

Format the device and factory data reset

This is a joke right? Why in the world would I factory reset my phone just because the battery is acting like a one year old battery?

Mine is going from mid 40% to off these past couple of months. Been noticing that when I'm using the phone, it heats up more then it did before

My battery will read 20% then die and shut down. When I charge it after it's off it shows charging at 0%

Lol that is EXACTLY where mine will shut off. Sometimes I can get it to 16% but when you do plug it up it reads 0%. Tells me that 20% of the battery is no longer charging.

Almost exactly the same problem here. Very disappointed.... Battery doesn't last nearly as long as before :(

I actually think the quick charge is killing the battery, mine cuts at 15% and shuts down ,but i noticed when i left my fast charger at work ,and had to charge it with a regular charger i was able to use it to 4% before it shut down

Well, no, not really... :( The fact that there could be an app or two that are constantly running in the background killing your battery. And this is usually the first response from tech support. One I never listen to, because it is the Techs easy way out instead of helping you find the cause. A factory reset will get rid of the app problem if one exist. And most of the time that is what is wrong. Of course it will come back quickly, because you will restore the phone to the way it was and in turn installing the app that was causing the problem. But by then, you will be calling and reaching a different tech, and the first one got a score for the solution. LoL

Bought a new battery and everything is back to normal. I keep the old battery around as a backup.

Just got a used Edge off Swappa. Previous user said it was purchased same week VZW released it. Phone is perfect other than the condition described in this thread. Drain it down to 30% and a minute later it immediately drops to 0%. Oh well, have a new OEM replacement battery arriving from Amazon.

Glad it's swappable.
