having 120fps slo-mo is something i need to have.
so i was a bit sad finding that it doesn't even have a slo-mo option.
am i wrong? did i miss something? (i don't own it yet, but thinking i might).
cause having snapdragon 800 enables this option in 720p!
so why NOT?

I don't believe it supports it.

Looks like a different phone is in your future.

There seem to be a few apps in the Play store that purport to record fast to play back in slow motion (i.e. not just a video player that plays back in slow motion). Have you looked at any of them?

i know of some slow-mo apps, but what i mean is completely different.
like in the Note 3, snapdragon 800 can do 120fps 720p video on itself. i have no use for apps just slowing the video.
that's why i'm surprised the G2 doesn't give the option. it already has it inside.

I can't verify this yet cuz I'm still waiting on my Sprint version but someone on xda said to record at 60fps, or higher, and when watching the video open the menu to have the option to slow speed down.

thanks but it only records 60fps which is "too fast" in slo-mo land.
120fps is where you really start having fun ;)

Sounds like you need the new iPhone, or a camera that is capable of slo-mo.

Dont forget, this is a phone and "most" people dont have any need for the feature. Its just an add on.

my first need was a bigger screen,
and then i started highlighting the things i need for my artistic stuff, or my tennis ( filming my strokes in slo-mo), so i reached the point here.
so Iphone is not an option (screen size).

What about the Sony Xperia Z1 ?

Oh, that rozroz. You have got a knack for creepy avatars (TW)

I think the note 3 records slo-mo and has the display size you'd like for playback. Slo-mo recording is great. I haven't seen it executed on a phone yet, though. The g2 with slo-mo playback isn't a bad sacrifice.

LOL i guess TW guys can meet anywhere.. small world.
i was testing the Note 3 yea, but Samsung just doesn't go well with me. hate the UI, etc. IF their slow motion was as good as the Iphone's, i might have considered it, but somehow it looks pretty crappy IMO.
thanks anyway ;)

After having so much fun with these slo-mo videos in the past I'm kinda regretting that I won't have that on the G2 I just ordered :-(

i just don't understand how came an option like this is not enabled. isn't it something that is software related? i mean, the snapdragon should handle it no problem.

It's up to the manufacturer what they want to add or turn on. Look at the nexus5 same chip but no rapid charging
